Alicia Jiménez de la Riva, Executive Partner and Director, sums thirteen years of experience in the  European financial industry having worked in several banks in Madrid before moving to Miami, where she founded and managed Funds Americas from 2010 to 2012. Previously she worked for 9 years as Head of Research for Self Bank (Group Sociètè Genèrale and La Caixa), being part of the executive team since its creation in year 2000. Before that, she was an Equity Analyst during 4 years in the asset manager and the broker of Banco Santander.

Elena Santiso

Executive Partner and Sales and Business Development Director

Elena Santiso, Executive Partner and Sales and Business Development Director, adds more than 10 years of experience in the financial industry in Spain and the United States. She began her asset management career in the Investment Department of Banco Santader. She has also worked as portfolio manager for the Spanish firm N+1 and in Credit Agricole AM as institutional sales. Elena moved to Miami several years ago working initially for PRS Family Office –member of EFG International-, as portfolio manager for Spanish and Latin American private clients. In 2011 Elena joined Funds Americas as Executive Editor.

Chief Editor and in charge of Funds Society for the Spanish market

Alicia Miguel Serrano, Chief Editor and in charge of Funds Society for the Spanish market. She has 15 years of experience in the world of economic and financial journalism. She began her career at La Gaceta de los Negocios, where she wrote in the Markets section and continued at Funds People, where she developed content related to the investment fund industry. She has also collaborated with publications such as Investment and Finance, and prepared content for BBVA’s “Mi Jubilación” project. She joined Funds Society in 2013 to develop the content proposal in the Spanish market and directs the newsletter and magazine in this market since its launch (the first one in 2014 and the second one, in January 2016). She is the coordinator of the global editorial team from the Madrid office, established in 2018, which includes both Funds Society and Futuro a Fondo. She has a degree in journalism from the Complutense University of Madrid and has a Master in Economic Information Specialist from the Association of Economic Information Journalists (APIE) and the University of Zaragoza.

Beatriz Zúñiga

Global Content Writer at Funds Society

Beatriz Zúñiga is in charge of the morning newsletter at Funds Society. Based in Madrid, she has more than ten years of experience in economic journalism. She has worked in publications such as Actualidad Económica, Expansión, La Gaceta de los Negocios and Revista Dinero. She graduated from the Villanueva University Center in 2008, a center attached to the Complutense University of Madrid and, among other complementary formations, completed the postgraduate degree in economic training Specialist in Economic Information, by the Association of Economic Information Journalists (APIE) and the University Menéndez Pelayo International (UIMP), in 2015.

Romina López La Rosa is a content writer at Funds Society. She has specialised in financial journalism and journalism related to science and technology issues for more than 10 years, having collaborated with media such as Expansión and the Spanish service of the German agency dpa. In Spain she was also international politics editor at dpa and carried out special coverage for the agency as an envoy to various countries in Latin America, Germany, South Korea and Australia. She holds a degree in Communication Sciences from the University of Buenos Aires (UBA).

Cecilia S. Prieto

Writer and head of branded content

Cecilia began her career as a writer at El Economista, covering the stock markets and other asset classes. She then began a position as a writer at Funds People, covering information related to the investment funds industry. In 2018 she made the leap to public relations consulting, joining first as Client Advisor at Omnicom and later as Senior Executive at Carter Lane, where she became head of the Financial Communications department.
Cecilia holds a bachelor in Journalism from the Universidad Pontificia de Salamanca plus a masters degree in Institutional Communications and Digital Marketing.
Cecilia has been a contributor to Funds Society since 2020, joining the staff in 2022 as head of sponsored content. She has also written for publications such as Expansión, Forbes Travel Guide or Influencers.

Héctor Chamizo

He began his professional adventure at Cinco Días as a trainee editor and has subsequently worked in different media: Estrategias de Inversión, Funds&Markets of Grupo Dirigentes as a coordinator, and then as a freelancer. In his freelance stage, in which he has been working for more than five years, he has contributed with media such as FORBES -as responsible for the investment specials magazines-, Business Insider, La Información, Merca2, Investing, etcetera. Director of the magazine in the Americas

Magdalena Martínez Vial, Based in Montevideo, she is in charge of the newsletter for Latin America and is the director of the magazine in the Americas. She has more than 25 years of experience in international media such as El País, Agence France Presse (AFP), Radio Francia Internacional (RFI) or Euronews, among others. She studied Journalism and Communication at the Free University of Brussels and is the author of the guide book “Montevideo, the sleeping beauty”.

Gabriela Huerta

Editor for the in English website

Gabriela Huerta is a Mexican journalist specializing in finance and asset management. Since 2015 she writes for Funds Society, where she is Editor for the in English website and Offshore newsletter. During the previous two years she was part of the team that launched El Financiero Bloomberg TV, where she worked as an analyst and news anchor. Before joining Bloomberg, she was a correspondent for the Mexican market at Funds Society, a group he has joined since its inception. She previously worked with the founders of Funds Society in Funds Americas, where she started in August 2011, while continuing as vice president of operations and finance at Tacit Knowledge, where she worked from 2007 to April 2012, before following her dream of becoming a journalist. Prior to Tacit Knowledge, she lived six years in Madrid where he worked as a stock market analyst at the Spanish Self Trade Bank, was part of a benchmarking study for Banco Santander Central Hispano and graduated from her MBA at the IEB, as well as her BA in International Business Studies at Saint Louis University.

Anna Vicinanza is responsible for marketing and advertising at Funds Society, she’s in charge of commercial proposals, campaign management and event organization. She has experience in brand management and advertising, in the banking and consumer goods industries. Anna obtained a Master’s degree in Digital Marketing from IE Business School in Madrid and studied International Hospitality Management at the Ecole hôtelière de Lausanne in Switzerland.

Luis Montenegro Pérez-Moreiras is the community manager of Funds Society and Fórmate a Fondo and is in charge of social networks, reporting to the sponsors of both the magazines and Funds Society’s database.
