Kevin Bakker, CFA, is co-head of US high yield and a senior portfolio manager responsible for US and global high yield portfolio management at Aegon Asset Management. Prior to his current role, he was a public fixed income research analyst covering high yield and investment grade corporate securities. Prior to joining the firm, Kevin was employed by Archer Daniels Midland in various roles within their commodities trading division. He has been in the industry since and started with the firm in 2003. Kevin received his BA from Loras College and his MBA from the University of Iowa. He is a CFA® charterholder.
Sabrina Jacobs joined Pictet Asset Management in April 2022. She is a Senior Client Portfolio Manager for the Emerging Market Fixed Income team based in London specialising in Emerging Market Corporate and Greater China Debt strategies.
She graduated from Bonn University with a first class B.A. in Economics. She also holds an MSc in Economics from the London School of Economics and Political Science.
David Bennett is director of real estate for Thornburg Investment Management, leading the real estate investment strategy and product development initiative at the firm. He has extensive experience in various real estate investment capacities, with a focus on acquisitions, development, capital markets, and portfolio management. In addition to his real estate experience, he has overseen the development of operating companies in the education, health care, and technology industries.
Jan Blakeley Holman is director of advisor education at Thornburg Investment Management. She is responsible for identifying and creating advisor education programs that support financial advisors as they work with their clients and prospects. Jan has spent 44 years in the financial services industry. Over the course of her career, she’s served as a financial advisor, an advisor to financial advisors, and a financial services corporate executive.
Jan is a frequent presenter at broker/dealer and industry conferences where she discusses Women and Investing, Women in Transition, Longevity Planning, and Managing Legacy Wealth. She has also written numerous articles and contributed to several books on these and other financial-planning topics.
Ben Lord, CFA, joined M&G Investments in 2007 and was promoted as PM of the M&G Global Corporate Bond strategy when it was launched in September 2013. Ben also manages the M&G UK Inflation Linked Corporate Bond strategy and comanages the Corporate Bond and the Strategic Corporate Bond strategies.
Julian Serafini is a senior equity research analyst for Thornburg Investment Management. He joined the firm in 2021 as an equity research analyst and was promoted to senior equity research analyst in 2022.
Prior to joining Thornburg, Julian worked at Jefferies Financial Group as an equity research analyst, as lead analyst in London covering the European software and payments sectors, and in New York City covering U.S. software. He also served as an equity research associate at Oppenheimer & Co. Previously, Julian spent 10 years at Northrop Grumman, in roles including project management, business development, and engineering.
Julian holds an MBA degree from the UCLA Anderson School of Management, a MS degree in systems architecting and engineering from the University of Southern California and a BS degree in mechanical engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute. He is a CFA charterholder.
Zsolt Kohalmi is Global Head of Real Estate and Co-CEO of Pictet Alternative Advisors. Mr.Kohalmi brings two decades of pan-European investment experience. Previously he was Managing Director and Head of European Acquisitions at Starwood Capital Group, one of the top 3 firms in global private equity real estate. At Starwood, he was instrumental in sourcing and executing a number of successful investments for Starwood Capital’s commercial, hospitality and debt platforms. Prior to joining Starwood Capital in 2013, Mr. Kohlami was Chief Investment officer at Meyer Bergman for 8 years, a European real estate investment firm that he co-founded. Before that he was Director at GE Capital, and also worked in investment banking with ABN AMRO Hoare Govett. Mr. Kohalmi, who is fluent in nine languages, holds an M.S degree in economics from the University of Budapest and an MBA in INSEAD.
