Sergio Alvarez-Mena is a Director of Credit Suisse Securities (USA) LLC and advises CSSU’s cross-border business as well as the US domestic market. Prior to Credit Suisse he was lead counsel for Morgan Stanley’s Private Wealth Management division, and all U.S. based cross-border business. Mr. Alvarez-Mena also served as Head of the International Private Client Group from 2010-2013. Prior Morgan Stanley he served as lead counsel to Merrill Lynch International Latin America Private Client division and Merrill Lynch Bank & Trust (Cayman) Ltd. From 1989 through 2000, Mr. Alvarez-Mena was an equity partner of Morgan Lewis & Bockius specializing in cross-border matters and the representation of financial institutions. He graduated from Georgia Military College Preparatory School 1974, Loyola University of the South B.A. (summa cum laude) 1978; and the University Of Georgia School Of Law in 1981 where he was a Welborn Cody Scholar and an Editor of the Georgia Journal of International and Comparative Law.
Andrew Knight joined Maitland as a partner in 1999 and is now a partner at M Partners, a member of Maitland Legal, a network of independent law firms. Andrew has over 20 years of experience in managing and structuring a wide range of corporate and commercial transactions. He works principally in the area of international corporate tax and structuring with a particular focus on investment across Europe and into Africa, while remaining actively involved in managing a variety of other corporate and commercial transactions. He is an English solicitor and South African attorney and is authorised to practice in Luxembourg.
Anthony Markham is a Partner at Maitland. He has more than 30 years’ experience as an external international adviser and five years’ experience as a legal counsel to a multinational family office. He has a depth of experience in the issues which face international wealthy families and particular experience in managing the transition of wealth between generations. This includes negotiating the allocation of wealth and control with incoming family branches and members, tax issues, tax and regulatory issues and fiduciary issues. After qualifying in England and South Africa, Anthony joined the entity that was to become Maitland in 1983 in Luxembourg, became a partner in 1986, moved to the Isle of Man to open the Maitland office in 1990, and moved with Maitland to London in 2000. He then joined the E Oppenheimer & Son Family office in 2001, and returned to Maitland as a consultant in 2005. In March 2009, Anthony returned to Maitland’s Isle of Man office as a Partner and Director of the entity.

Bruno Colmant is Head of Macro Research at Bank Degroof Petercam, since September 2015. He began his career at Arthur Andersen, Dewaay and Sofina. He was managing director at ING (1996-2006), Head of Cabinet of the Minister of Finance (2006-2007), president of the Brussels Stock Exchange, member of the Management Committee of NYSE Euronext and Chairman and CEO of Euronext Brussels (2007- 2009), and Deputy CEO of Ageas (2009-2011). From 2011 to September 2015 he was an academic advisor at Ageas and partner of the consulting firm Roland Berger.
Daniel C. Roarty was appointed Chief Investment Officer of AllianceBernstein’s Global Growth and Thematic team in 2013. He joined the firm in May 2011 and was named sector head for the technology sector on the Global/International Research Growth team on July 1, 2011, and team leader for that team in early 2012. Roarty previously spent nine years at Nuveen Investments, where he co-managed a large-cap growth strategy and a multi-cap growth strategy. His research experience includes coverage of technology, industrials and financial stocks at Morgan Stanley and Goldman Sachs. Frank Caruso is a Senior Vice President and Chief Investment Officer of US Growth Equities at AllianceBernstein, a position he has held since 2012. In this capacity, he oversees three services: US Large Cap Growth, US Core Opportunities and US Growth & Income. Caruso has been Team Leader of US Growth since 2008 and Team Leader of US Growth & Income since 2004. From 1995 to 2004, he served as a Growth & Income portfolio manager. Caruso joined the firm in 1993, when it acquired Shields Asset Management, where he had been director of Equities. Previously, he was a managing director and senior member of the Investment Policy Committee at Shearson Lehman Advisors, as well as CIO for Shearson Lehman Asset Management’s Directions and Capital Management businesses. Caruso was also formerly the lead portfolio manager for Shearson’s family of growth and income mutual funds. Brad Tank, Managing Director at Neuberger Berman, joined the firm in 2002 after 23 years of experience in trading and asset management. Brad is the Chief Investment Officer and Global Head of Fixed Income. He is a member of Neuberger Berman’s Operating, Investment Risk and Asset Allocation Committees and NBFI’s Senior Management Committee. He is a member of the firm’s Senior Management Committee and Asset Allocation Committee. From 1990 to 2002, Brad was director of fixed income for Strong Capital Management in Wisconsin. He was also a member of the Office of the CEO and headed institutional and intermediary distribution. In 1997, Brad was named “Runner Up” for Morningstar Mutual Fund Manager of the Year. From 1982 to 1990, he was a vice president at Salomon Brothers in the government, mortgage and financial institutions areas. Brad earned a BBA and an MBA from the University of Wisconsin.
