Joana Castro is Partner within the Private Equity team where she is Head of Primary Investments and Climate Impact and is responsible for ESG integration in private equity. Joana is a member of the advisory board of several private equity funds as well as a member of British Venture Capital Association’s Responsible Investment Advisory Group.
She joined Unigestion in September 2016. Joana began her career in 2007 in investment banking at Goldman Sachs. In 2010, she joined the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) as Senior Analyst focusing on private equity funds investments and became Principal at EBRD in 2013. Joana graduated in economics from Catolica Lisbon School of Business and Economics in Lisbon, Portugal.

Gabriel Micheli joined Pictet Asset Management in 2006 and is a Senior Investment Manager in the Thematic Equities Team. He has been co-managing the Global Environment Opportunities strategy since its inception in 2014. Before, Gabriel co-managed the Pictet Timber strategy from 2008 to 2018, where he has kept an advisory role, and was co-manager of the Pictet Clean Energy strategy from 2007 to 2010. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charter holder. He graduated with a degree in Economics from the University of St. Gallen.
Cédric Lecamp joined Pictet Asset Management in 2007 and is a Senior Investment Manager in the Thematic Equities team. Cédric graduated with a Bachelor’s in Law from the University of Durham and Master’s in Business and Administration from HEC Geneva.
Sandy Wolf is an Impact and Analytics Manager for Thematic Equities at Pictet Asset Management. Sandy Wolf joined Pictet’s Thematic Equities team in 2018, focusing on Impact Investing and ESG integration across all Thematic strategies. Prior to assuming her current role, she was a Senior Product Manager with responsibility for global product launches, capacity management and regulatory projects in Pictet Asset Management’s Product Management and Development team.
Before joining Pictet in 2010, Sandy spent more than 10 years in product management and marketing-related roles at Union Bancaire Privée, Deutsche Bank and Zurich Financial Services.
Sandy is a Certified International Investment Analyst (CIIA) and holds a degree from the Frankfurt School of Finance & Management.
Marc-Olivier Buffle joined Pictet Asset Management in 2014 and is Head of Client Portfolio Managers and Research in the Thematic Equities team, an internal member of Global Environmental Opportunity’s advisory board and of Pictet’s Environmental Policy Committee.
Prior to that Marc was a member of the Board of the Swiss Climate foundation and of Pictet’s Sustainability Board. Before joining Pictet, Marc was at RobecoSAM where he acted as Head of industrials and water equity research, as well as co-Head of Sustainability Investing research. He was responsible for the research methodology underpinning the S&P Dow Jones Sustainability Index. Prior to that he was responsible for water technologies business development in EMEA at the Danaher Corporation. Marc started his career at Trojan Technologies in London Canada, where he led a R&D team focusing on advanced water treatment technologies.
Marc holds a MSc in engineering from the ETH in Zurich, and a PhD from EAWAG in Environmental Chemistry and is the author of patents, scientific articles, technical and financial publications.
Hans Peter Portner joined Pictet Asset Management in 1997 and is Head of the Thematic Equities team and a Senior Investment Manager. He began his investment career in 1992 as a Portfolio Manager for international equities with UBS Brinson in Basel, where he managed single country funds and capital preservation funds. In 1997, he joined Pictet Asset Management in Geneva as Senior Investment Manager for international equities. He held the same role in London from 1999 to 2001. Hans Peter holds a Master’s in Economics from the University of Bern, and is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charterholder.
Omar Moufti joined BlackRock in January 2020 to cover the Thematics Index range as Product Specialist within the EII EMEA Product Team. In this role, he is responsible for providing insights, content and analysis to drive overall iShares Thematic ETFs commercialization. Prior to working at BlackRock, Moufti worked at EFG Bank in Switzerland, where he served as Senior Equity Specialist and helped set up the private bank’s advisory offering. Before EFG Bank, he spent 10 years in Union Bancaire Privee’s asset management division, across London, Hong Kong and Geneva, working as a portfolio manager, analyst and investment specialist for a number of its active equity ranges, and previously as a hedge fund advisor. Moufti is a CFA and CAIA charter holder and holds a M.Sc. Economics from the University of Surrey, and a B.A. Economics from the American University of Beirut.
