Edouard Carmignac
Edouard Carmignac is the Chairman of Carmignac Gestion, which he founded in 1989. As Chief Investment Officer, he actively participates in defining the funds’ investment strategies. He manages the Carmignac Investissement fund and co-manages Carmignac Patrimoine alongside Frédéric Leroux and Rose Ouahba. After receiving an MBA from Columbia University, Edouard Carmignac began his career in 1972 as an analyst for Blyth Est Dillon in New York before joining Paribas where he was in charge of international financial transactions. In 1976, he was appointed Deputy Manager of Banque de la Société Européenne Financière, responsible for loans to the energy and mining industries. Between 1984 and 1989 he worked as a stockbroker at Hamant-Carmignac.
